Four more Ukrainian military drones have been destroyed over the Volgograd region. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense in their Telegram channel.
“On March 8, at around 7:00 am Moscow time, another attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) was thwarted against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation,” the statement said.
All drones were destroyed by the air defense forces, emphasized the Ministry of Defense.
On the morning of March 8, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that air defense forces destroyed 11 UAVs over the Volgograd region and one over the Belgorod region during the night.
On March 7, a Ukrainian drone was shot down in the Belgorod region. It was reported on that day that two UAVs from the Ukrainian Armed Forces had reached the Leningrad region due to their low flight altitude. They could not be shot down due to the dense forest they were flying over. Later, Russian fighters destroyed them.
Earlier, Russia developed a new system for countering drones.
