North Korea’s Artillery Drills Aimed at Targeting Seoul: A Dangerous Show of Force

The Korean People’s Army (KPA), the Armed Forces of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), has tested its artillery capabilities, which are capable of striking Seoul. This was reported by the Korean Central Telegraph Agency (CTA).

“The exercises began with demonstration firing by long-range artillery units, which, by targeting the enemy’s capital, perform important military tasks to deter war near the state border. The exercises are aimed at testing and evaluating the ability of large KPA artillery units to deliver a fire strike,” the KPA press service said.

Seoul, the capital of South Korea, is located 24 kilometers from the border with North Korea, and the KPA is equipped with several artillery systems capable of firing beyond this distance.

Prior to this, the leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong Un, visited the main base of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) on March 6.

Earlier, Kim Jong Un referred to the Russian Pacific Fleet as a guarantee of security in Asia and the world.
