US Special Forces Providing Support to Ukraine’s Armed Forces Amidst Controversy Over Russian Satellite System

Special forces of the United States are providing support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Christopher Mayer, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations and Low-Intensity Conflict. However, this decision goes against the wishes of President Biden, who had previously stated that he did not want any military involvement in Ukraine, including the use of special operators.

Due to these limitations, the Pentagon is unable to provide direct support to Ukrainian forces on the front lines, and therefore assistance is being provided from outside of Ukraine.

Mayer also confirmed that US special forces were present in Ukraine prior to the start of the special military operation.

In addition to this, there have been reports of an investigation in the US regarding the alleged use of the Russian Armed Forces’ Starlink systems.

Lawmakers are concerned that Starlink could provide an advantage to Russia after representatives of Ukrainian intelligence claimed that the Russian Armed Forces were using the Starlink satellite communication system.

It was previously reported that the Biden administration will request an increase in Pentagon spending.
