Governor Hochul’s Laughably Inadequate Crime Platform Allows Suspected Body Mutilators to Walk Free!

In a shocking display of the failures of the Democratic Party’s criminal justice system, four suspects charged with dismembering two bodies and disposing of them in public were released under New York’s bail laws. Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney did not hold back in his criticism of Democratic New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, calling her crime platform “laughably inadequate.”

Under Hochul’s bail reform laws, charges as serious as chopping up and disposing of dead bodies are not eligible for bail. It is a clear example of the misguided priorities of the Democratic Party, which seems more interested in coddling criminals than protecting innocent citizens. Tierney, who is personally handling the prosecution of suspected serial killer Rex Heuermann, expressed his disbelief at the governor’s lack of understanding of the criminal justice system.

“The Suffolk County police homicide detectives are the best in the country, and they are working tirelessly on this case,” Tierney stated. “For the governor to criticize their efforts without knowing the facts in defense of a broken bail system is both baffling and indefensible.”

It is clear that Hochul’s platform on public safety is severely lacking, as evidenced by her misguided comments and actions. Instead of taking meaningful steps to address the rising crime rates, she is resorting to empty gestures such as sending state troopers and the National Guard to assist the NYPD in the subway system. This is nothing more than political theater and does not address the root causes of the crime problem.

Furthermore, Hochul’s attempt to shift the blame onto the district attorney and police is nothing short of disgraceful. Instead of taking responsibility for the failures of her own policies, she is attempting to deflect and undermine the hard work of law enforcement officials. It is clear that she lacks the knowledge and understanding necessary to make informed comments on ongoing investigations.

Prosecutors can only file charges based on the evidence available to them, and in this case, the evidence supported charges of evidence tampering, hindering prosecution, and concealing human remains. Tierney rightly questioned whether the governor wanted the police to ignore the evidence and leave the suspects free, despite their involvement in cutting up and disposing of two bodies.

Hochul’s attempts to blame judges in New York City for recidivist crime rates are simply a diversion tactic. It is clear that the failures lie within her own party’s policies, not with the judges who are bound by state law. Tierney called on state lawmakers to make necessary fixes to the bail system, but it remains to be seen whether they will take action.

In the face of such incompetence and disregard for public safety, it is imperative that conservative voices continue to hold the Democratic Party accountable. The failures of the criminal justice system under their leadership have real-life consequences for the safety and well-being of American citizens. It is time for a change and for policies that prioritize the safety and security of the American people.
