Russian Deputy from Crimea, Mikhail Sheremet, has stated that the new counteroffensive by the Ukrainian army will be suicidal for them. The politician’s words were quoted by RIA Novosti.
“It’s a shame that Ukrainian fools never learn anything. The new counteroffensive will be suicide for the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Sheremet said.
According to the politician, the ill-considered actions of the Ukrainian command will end with cries of “Why us?”
The day before, the Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Alexander Pavluk, announced that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are planning to create a special task force in 2024 and engage in counterattack actions.
Last week, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov (listed as a terrorist and extremist in Russia), admitted that the plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the counteroffensive, which took place in the summer of 2023, had leaked and ended up in the hands of Russia before the operation began.
In February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the preparation of a new counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and “surprises” for Russia. Furthermore, he once again rejected the possibility of a “Plan B.”
Earlier, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that they were preparing for the start of a Russian military operation.
