Growing number of destroyed M1 Abrams tanks in Ukraine shows that they are no better than other armored vehicles. This was stated by Peter Suciu, an observer for the American magazine National Interest.
“Ukraine has become a graveyard for tanks, and three M1 Abrams are just new casualties on it, no matter what the American military says about them,” Suciu wrote. He also noted that in less than a week, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost three American main battle tanks M1 Abrams in combat.
Contrary to the grandiose statements of American politicians about the supposedly important role of Abrams on the battlefield, these machines have not lived up to expectations, added Suciu. According to him, Ukrainians are too accustomed to Soviet combat vehicles, so they cannot quickly adapt to Western models.
The author agreed with the words of Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who said that Abrams tanks would burn just like any other.
