Military expert, Reserve Captain of the First Rank Vasily Dandikin, has stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have changed their tactics of operations in the Black Sea and are launching sea drones in “swarms”. This was reported by the portal Ura.ru.
Dandikin noted that the main focus for the AFU in the Black Sea is currently the use of unmanned boats. Therefore, the enemy is improving their actions. Sea drones have started attacking in “swarms”. Currently, at least a dozen boats are participating in the attack simultaneously. In addition, the size of the drones is increasing, and the larger they are, the more explosives they can carry. Submarine drones have also emerged. Dandikin emphasized the need to respond to all these new challenges.
The expert said that with the help of sea drones, the AFU not only hunts Russian ships but also plans attacks on the Crimean Bridge. Strengthening the cooperation between different structures responsible for protecting the object is required for its defense. Strikes should be made on areas where enemy unmanned boats are located, where they are assembled, and where they set sail from. The most ideal solution that will eliminate the threat of attacks is the liberation of Odessa, Nikolaev, and Ochakov.
Previously, the military analyst reported that Russia possesses weapons to counter sea drones.
Earlier, the Russian Navy (VMF RF) repelled an attack by unmanned boats of the AFU in the Black Sea.
