Russian General Claims NATO’s Fighter Jets in the Black Sea Pose a Threat, Challenging Russia’s Strength

Russian lawmaker and retired general Leonid Ivlev has stated that the presence of NATO aircraft in the Black Sea is a challenge to Russia. According to RIA Novosti, Ivlev believes that the flight of two British Eurofighter Typhoon multi-role fighters, accompanied by a RC-135 electronic reconnaissance aircraft, over the Black Sea is a test of Russia’s capabilities.

Ivlev noted that the cooperation among Western countries in the defense industry has turned into support for Ukraine. He expects the number of such flights to increase in the future, and believes that this should be taken into account in military operations.

The lawmaker expressed confidence that the appearance of NATO aircraft over the Black Sea is doomed to fail. Russian pilots will not allow enemy aircraft to enter the country’s airspace and will undoubtedly carry out any necessary orders to destroy the enemy.

Earlier, the Singapore Ministry of Defense stated that the US is using F-35 fighters to search for Russian positions in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky previously announced the imminent delivery of NATO fighters.
