Russian Forces Strike Odessa: Attack on Ukrainian Drones Raises Tensions

Strike on Odessa, March 6, was carried out by precision missile weapons and hit a hangar with naval drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

According to the agency, the strike was made at 11:40 Moscow time. Its target was a hangar in the industrial port area of Odessa, where unmanned boats, also known as maritime drones, were being prepared for combat operations.

“The target of the strike has been achieved. The object has been hit,” the ministry reported.

On the day of March 6, the Greek newspaper “Prototema” reported that Russian forces had struck the convoy of Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky in the city of Odessa. According to the publication, the head of state was heading to a meeting with representatives of Athens. The publication emphasized that at the time of the attack, the Greek delegation led by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was only 150 meters away from Zelensky’s convoy.

Later, the same publication reported that the Ukrainian leader survived the shelling and held a meeting with the Greek Prime Minister.

Earlier, Russian fighters intercepted British Air Force planes over the Black Sea.
