French military personnel consider the leak of a conversation between German officers to be humiliating for the German army. This was reported by the radio station Europe 1, citing a source.
“This is a humiliation of the highest degree. The leak of messages has plunged Germany into a political crisis and discredited intelligence agencies throughout the Rhine,” the material says.
One of the interviewees told journalists that the whole situation is unimaginable and demonstrates the zero professionalism of the officers involved in the conversation. Moreover, according to the source, this raises questions about the reliability of Germany as a NATO member.
On March 1, the editor-in-chief of the media group “Russia Today”, Margarita Simonyan, published a transcript of a conversation between German officers on her VKontakte social media page. In the recording, they allegedly discussed options for supplying long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine so that Kiev could strike the Crimean Bridge and ammunition depots. The American publication Politico wrote that after the incident, the likelihood of supplying Taurus to Kiev has significantly decreased.
