Russian Defense Minister Announces Further Army Restructuring to Address Security Threats

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, during a thematic selector meeting with the leadership of the Russian Armed Forces, stated that Russia will continue to improve the structure of its army in accordance with security threats. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

“We will continue to improve the composition and structure of the Armed Forces in proportion to the emerging threats to the military security of the Russian Federation,” Shoigu noted.

Earlier, Shoigu stated that Russian troops prevent soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) who fled from the Avdiivka junction from consolidating on a new line.

On March 3, candidate for the presidency of Russia and leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, Leonid Slutsky, expressed the opinion that Russia will finish its special military operation this year. According to him, it is necessary to liberate temporarily abandoned Kherson, the entire right bank, “above Donetsk, above Yasynuvata.”

Earlier, it was reported that Russian paratroopers and special forces began to learn how to use NATO weapons.
