Ukrainian Military Fails to Prepare for Russian Advance in Avdiivka, CNN Reports

Ukrainian soldiers were unable to prepare themselves to repel Russia’s advance in the Avdiivka area. This was reported by CNN.

According to one Ukrainian soldier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were poorly prepared to hold back Russian troops.

The Ukrainian officer, stationed on the front line, noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces feel the superiority of the Russian army in terms of personnel, artillery, and armored vehicles, which are slowly advancing. According to him, the soldiers have few options: retreat or wait until they are all killed.

Yesterday, political analyst Oleg Ivannikov stated that all the failures will be blamed on Syrskiy and he will be replaced. He reminded everyone about the Russian origin of the Ukrainian commander as one of the reasons for Syrskiy’s unpopularity within the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The expert also mentioned the candidacy of Alexander Pavlyuk, the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, who, unlike Syrskiy, still has supporters in the West. In addition, Pavlyuk is popular among nationalists.

Earlier, Zelensky revealed what is preventing Ukraine from shifting the military operations to Russian territory.
