Head of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Annalena Baerbock, commenting on the possibility of supplying Taurus missiles to Ukraine, stated the need to carefully study all available means based on international law. This was reported by the television and radio company Bayerischer Rundfunk.
“We must carefully study all means that we have in the context of self-defense for Ukraine, based on international law,” the minister said.
Previously, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke out against the delivery of German Taurus missiles to Ukraine.
On March 1, the editor-in-chief of the media group “Russia Today,” Margarita Simonyan, published a transcript of a conversation among German officers, allegedly discussing the possibility of supplying Taurus missiles to Ukraine, as well as plans to attack the Crimean Bridge and ammunition depots. According to the presented text by Simonyan, the participants of the conversation were considering options to support Kyiv so that Germany would not become a direct participant in the conflict.
On March 3, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius stated that the discussion among German officers about the transfer of Taurus missiles to Ukraine does not mean that Kyiv will receive them.
