Deputy Commander of the Ukrainian Army Vadim Sukharevsky has announced that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are conducting test trials of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with artificial intelligence, provided by the United Kingdom. This information was reported by the Ukrainian publication “Obshestvennoye”.
“These attempts exist, the systems exist. I want to say that it is a very complex process in terms of implementation and realization – the use of these drones specifically on the front line,” he said.
According to Sukharevsky, the complexity lies in distinguishing real images from those created by artificial intelligence.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the UK and the US are working on supplying Ukraine with “thousands” of drones with embedded artificial intelligence systems, which allegedly would enable the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to “simultaneously attack Russian targets.”
Previously, it was reported that the UK Ministry of Defense successfully tested the DragonFire directed energy laser weapon system against aerial targets at the Hebrides range in Scotland.
