Ukrainian Forces Suffer Heavy Losses in Battle, Losing Over 115 Soldiers and Vital Military Equipment on Kupyansk Front

Senior officer of the press center of the “West” group of troops, Yaroslav Yakimkin, informed TASS that the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost over 115 servicemen on the Kupyansk direction in a day.

According to Yakimkin, the Ukrainian troops also lost a Leopard tank, two armored personnel carriers (APCs), four cars, self-propelled artillery installations (SAUs) “Acacia” and “Carnation”, as well as the “D-20” howitzer.

“During the counter-battery fight, the crew of the “Hyacinth-B” gun, under the command of junior sergeant Andrey Nikolaev, destroyed the Krab self-propelled artillery installation in the area of the Krinichki tract,” said the senior officer of the press center.

According to him, motorized infantry units, in cooperation with artillery and aviation, repelled four counter-attacks of assault groups of the 30th and 60th mechanized brigades of the AFU in the area of the settlements of Sinkyovka, Terny, and Zhitlovka.

On February 18, it was reported that Russian troops eliminated 40 soldiers of the AFU on the Kupyansk direction.

On February 19, it became known that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the positions of the AFU on this direction.

Earlier, the Russian Armed Forces repelled 18 attacks by the AFU on the Kupyansk direction.
