Former Pentagon advisor Douglas Macgregor said on the YouTube channel of Stephen Gardner that a change in leadership will not help Ukraine avoid defeat.
Macgregor stated that the Ukrainian government is “falling apart” and that the Ukrainian army is left with hardly any able-bodied men.
“It doesn’t matter who takes power and who appears tomorrow morning to govern this place. It’s all over… Ukraine is finished, all that’s left of their government is just a facade,” he explained.
Earlier, political scientist Yevgeny Mikhailov reported that after the capture of Avdiivka, which became known on February 17, Russian military units would advance further. In the near future, they are expected to take Chasiv Yar and launch an offensive on the Krasnolymansk direction.
According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not yet shown any new strongholds, but even if they exist, they will not be able to withstand comprehensive artillery strikes, bombings, and air attacks.
Previously, the US and Ukraine began negotiations on security guarantees for Kyiv.
