Ukrainian Armed Forces Launch Night Attack on Donetsk, Resulting in Civilian Casualties and Destruction

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have launched a night attack on the Voroshilov district of Donetsk. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

According to the agency’s correspondent on the ground, as a result of the attack, at least six civilian cars were damaged. In addition, the windows of residential buildings were shattered, and residents and utility services are now working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.

One of the owners of a damaged car stated that the shelling took place on February 18th at around four in the morning.

On February 17th, it was reported that Russian air defense systems managed to shoot down a Ukrainian drone in the area of the city of Kurchatov, where the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant is located. On the same day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched an attack on the village of Kulbaki in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region.

On the same day, it became known that the AFU lost several hundred soldiers in less than 24 hours in their attempts to withdraw troops from Donetsk.

On Saturday morning, the new Commander-in-Chief of the AFU, Alexander Syrsky, announced that the units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces would be withdrawn from Avdiivka due to the impending encirclement of the garrison in this fortified city.

Earlier, the AFU targeted Donetsk, Makeevka, and Gorlovka with NATO shells.
