Explosions have caused damage to several infrastructure facilities in the Nikolayev region of Ukraine. This information was shared by Natalia Gumenyuk, the head of the united coordination press center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south, during an interview with the local television channel “Rada”.
“Other infrastructure objects in the Nikolayev region have also been damaged,” she stated.
The specific objects that were affected have not been specified in the publication.
According to Gumenyuk, a fire broke out on an infrastructure facility in Nikolayev as a result of the explosion, but it was quickly extinguished.
Shortly before this, the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy reported that due to the damage caused by the strikes, the cities of Kiev, Kharkiv, and Nikolayev in Ukraine were left without electricity.
Since October 10, 2022, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have been targeting Ukrainian infrastructure, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, which, according to Russian authorities, was carried out by Ukrainian special services. The attacks are being carried out on objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication throughout the country. Since then, air alarms have been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire territory of the country.
Earlier, Ukrainian media reported on the explosions in the Nikolayev region amid the ongoing alarm.
