Partisans are stockpiling weapons in the Ukrainian-controlled city of Kherson, according to the governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“The underground fighters provide our military with information about the enemy, accumulate weapons so that when the liberators arrive, they can join them in battle,” said the regional leader.
He noted that partisans have always acted in this way. Saldo added that the Kherson resistance continues to actively operate in the occupied right-bank part of the region by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF).
Prior to this, the Telegram channel “Voivode Reports” reported that partisans blew up a train carrying ammunition intended for the UAF. According to the channel’s author, more than 60 tons of NATO ammunition and other military property were destroyed.
Meanwhile, partisans opposing mobilization have appeared in the forests of Ukraine, according to Oleg Soskin, a former advisor to Ukraine’s second president, Leonid Kuchma. He referred to these partisans as men who choose to live according to the country’s constitution rather than “submitting to the usurpers in power.”
Earlier in Kiev, monuments to partisans of the Great Patriotic War were desecrated.
