NATO Stronger than Russia, but Faces Challenges: Secretary General Stoltenberg

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has stated that the alliance is stronger than Russia but faces certain challenges. This was reported by TASS.

“NATO is the largest military force in the world, representing about half of the world’s military power, and in military terms, we are stronger than Russia,” he said.

However, he noted that the alliance has clear problems and requires spare parts, maintenance, and ammunition to sustain its combat operations. According to him, NATO’s reserves are currently “inadequate.”

Stoltenberg also stated that any discussions about “European nuclear weapons” only undermine the NATO alliance.

Previously, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated at the Munich Security Conference that NATO countries do not want to be directly involved in a conflict with Russia and therefore have no intention of sending their armed forces to the territory of Ukraine.

Earlier, Germany promised to support the security of critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
