German Defense Company Plans to Build Artillery Factory in Ukraine, Boosting Military Industry.

German defense company Rheinmetall plans to build a factory for the production of 155mm artillery shells directly in Ukraine, according to the DPA news agency.

Armin Papperger, the CEO of Rheinmetall, stated that the company aims to be an effective partner for Ukraine in restoring its once strong military-industrial complex.

The agency highlights that Alexander Kamyshin, the Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine, was present at the signing ceremony.

Papperger previously stated that Ukraine’s demand for shells exceeds the production capabilities in Germany.

It was reported earlier that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky intends to visit several Western European countries to expedite assistance to Kiev. The Ukrainian president planned to visit France and Germany. It was reported that Zelensky was planning to participate in the Munich Security Conference.

Zelensky previously revealed the obstacles preventing Ukraine from moving the military operations onto Russian territory.
