Russian troops belonging to the motorized infantry unit of the Western Military District have successfully repelled an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Kupyansk front, according to reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense. The troops have been consistently thwarting attempts by enemy reconnaissance and sabotage groups (RSGs), as well as enemy offensives, at various intervals. In this particular incident, the unit detected a group of Ukrainian infantry and utilized 12.7mm DShK machine guns to suppress the enemy, forcing them to take cover without the ability to maneuver. Subsequently, the Russian troops employed AGS-17 “Flame” automatic grenade launchers to eliminate the trapped enemy. Despite unfavorable weather conditions, the Russian troops were able to detect and engage targets using their reconnaissance capabilities.
In a related development, marines from the 155th brigade of the Pacific Fleet have successfully captured a key stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
