The United States is currently evaluating options for a response to the attack on a US base in Jordan and is not ruling out the possibility of conducting a secret operation against Iran, according to Bloomberg.
The news agency highlighted that the attack on the American base could provoke a “decisive reaction” from US authorities. The potential scale of the operation could surpass what Washington has done in response to the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
Experts cited by the publication believe that Washington will not publicly announce its participation in the potential military campaign. They suggested that this could lead to a direct confrontation between Washington and Tehran.
During the night of January 28, a drone attacked a US military base on the border between Syria and Jordan.
US President Joe Biden stated that this attack was carried out by radical militant groups supported by Iran, operating in Syria and Iraq. American Senator Lindsey Graham called on the United States to strike Iran in response to the attack.
Earlier, Hamas claimed that the West had erected an “impenetrable wall” between itself and the Arab world.
