Russian Countermeasures Neutralize Ukrainian Drone in Rostov Oblast

Radio electronic warfare (REW) systems have successfully brought down a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the Rostov Oblast, according to the region’s governor, Vasily Golubev, in a statement on his Telegram channel.

“This morning, in the Neklinovsky District, an unmanned aircraft was neutralized using radio electronic warfare systems. As a result of the UAV’s crash and detonation of an explosive device, the windows and walls of several buildings in a countryside camp were partially damaged,” wrote Golubev.

The governor added that during the winter season, this facility is on standby and not operational, therefore no casualties were reported as a result of the incident.

Prior to this, a small fire broke out at the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in Yaroslavl after a Ukrainian drone of aircraft type attacked the facility.

The fire, caused by the UAV’s crash, was extinguished by the factory workers themselves. No injuries were reported preliminarily.

Earlier, Russia developed a new drone suppression system.
