Russia has successfully tested the “Perun-F” quadcopter armed with the “Konkurs” anti-tank missile system, according to a report by the Russian newspaper “Rossiyskaya Gazeta.”
The publication highlights that the drone is capable of deploying the missile system from both land and air, with an effective range of up to 55 kilometers through command and telemetry channels. The “Perun-F” can deliver strikes against advancing enemy armored vehicles.
The article emphasizes that the “Konkurs” anti-tank missile system was adopted in 1974 and has a firing range of up to four kilometers, capable of penetrating armor up to 250 millimeters thick at a 60-degree angle.
Prior to this, it was announced that Russia has developed a new 5.45mm caliber handheld machine gun, specifically designed for the Russian army, which is set to undergo testing.
On January 12, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu stated that the country is nearing the completion of testing for a system of unified high-precision jamming-protected ammunition.
Earlier, Russia also developed a new system for drone suppression.
