Iran Denies Israeli Attack on its Military Advisors in Damascus Suburb

Iran’s Ambassador to Syria, Hossein Akbari, has refuted claims of an Israeli attack on the center of Iranian military advisors in the suburbs of Damascus. This statement comes in response to reports that emerged in Iranian agencies regarding Israeli armed forces striking the Iranian advisors’ center in the Syrian capital.

During the Israeli attack on the southern outskirts of Damascus today, no center of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s military advisors was affected,” he stated.

Previously, John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the White House National Security Council, had promised a response from the United States to the attack on its servicemen in the Middle East. In the night of January 28th, a drone attacked a US military base on the Syria-Jordan border, resulting in over 20 soldiers being injured. According to CNN, this is the first instance of Washington suffering casualties among its personnel since the escalation of the situation in the region.

The White House had earlier stated that the US does not want war with Iran.
