Increased NATO Reconnaissance Flights near Belarusian Border Raise Concerns

The number of NATO reconnaissance flights near the borders of Belarus has doubled since the beginning of 2024, according to Deputy Commander of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of the Republic, Leonid Davidovich, in an interview with STV channel.

“We cannot ignore the activity [of NATO]. We have already noticed that compared to the previous month, the number of reconnaissance flights has doubled since the beginning of this year,” said Davidovich.

He stated that the aviation of almost all NATO member countries, as well as the allied forces, demonstrates activity near the Belarusian borders.

Davidovich noted that flights of long-range radar detection aircraft, such as the E-3, are being recorded almost daily in the region. Additionally, an aircraft from the Australian Air Force, the E-7, is present in the region, along with planes belonging to Sweden, the United Kingdom, France, and the United States, the minister reported.

Previously, a US reconnaissance aircraft was spotted near the Finland-Russia border.

Earlier, NATO generals emphasized the seriousness of the statements regarding the war with Russia.
