Russian Armed Forces units belonging to the “Western” group have successfully repelled five attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kupyansk front in the past 24 hours, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The attacks, carried out by assault groups from the 32nd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade, targeted the areas of Sin’kovka in the Kherson region and Terny in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The Ministry of Defense reported that the enemy suffered up to 25 military casualties, including two armored vehicles and three cars.
On January 27th, it was also reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 100 servicemen on the Krasnolimansk front within a day.
On the same day, it was announced that the commander of the Ukrainian unit “White Demons,” Vasily Yaremko, with the call sign “Yary,” was eliminated by Russian forces in the conflict zone.
Prior to this, the leader of the “Servant of the People” party faction and member of parliament, David Arakhamia, stated that the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were “much lower” than what Ukrainian citizens perceive.
Earlier, it was reported that the United States would provide security guarantees to Ukraine for a period of 10 years.
