Israeli military forces have successfully intercepted a suspicious air target approaching Lebanese territory, according to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) cited by TASS news agency.
The IDF clarified that throughout the day, there had been numerous launches from Lebanon towards the northern part of Israel.
Simultaneously, on January 27th, IDF fighter jets struck several Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, including a military post and a military complex in the areas of Blida, Marwahin, and Ayta ash-Sha’ab.
On January 27th, Hezbollah had fired on nine positions held by the Israel Defense Forces.
On January 18th, Hezbollah rejected the US proposals to de-escalate tensions with Israel.
On January 17th, Israel deemed a war with Hezbollah in Lebanon as highly probable.
Earlier, China called for a comprehensive peace conference on the Middle East.
