Ukrainian Authorities Refuse to Admit Guilt in Il-76 Plane Crash, Blaming Russia Again

Ukrainian authorities’ refusal to take responsibility for the downing of the Il-76 plane carrying Ukrainian prisoners of war demonstrates the leniency shown by Western countries towards Kiev. This was stated by independent journalist from Australia and creator of the Telegram channel CafeRevolution, Jonathan Halpern, as reported by RIA Novosti.

Halpern believes that Kiev will continue to deny shooting down the plane and will once again blame Moscow for the incident.

“It’s an old story that is being repeated in the West. Russia bombs Russia,” said Halpern.

The journalist asserts that it will be easy to “sell” this story to Western audiences, as it is being presented in a controlled information bubble.

According to him, Ukraine is allowed to do whatever it wants because it “serves the interests of Western elites, especially the American military-industrial complex.”

“The Western audience receives very little information from Russia. The agenda is completely controlled,” added the agency’s source.

Previously, the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, neither confirmed nor denied Ukraine’s claims about the return of some prisoners from the Il-76 plane during previous exchanges.

The black boxes from the downed Il-76 have been delivered to the research institute for decoding.
