Russian Armed Forces successfully repelled two attacks on the Krasnolimansk Front, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The ministry noted that the strikes were countered by the forces of the “Center” group with artillery support. The attacks were carried out by assault groups from the 117th Brigade of the self-defense forces in the areas of Yamopolovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Chervonaya Dibrova in the Luhansk People’s Republic. It is reported that the enemy lost up to 270 soldiers, two tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, eight armored vehicles, and 20 vehicles.
On January 25, it was reported that a special military operation by Russian Armed Forces’ assault group successfully and silently occupied Ukrainian positions, to the extent that a foreign officer came to one of the trenches for inspection.
On the same day, it was also revealed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces dropped ammunition from an unmanned aerial vehicle twice within a 15-minute period in the Kirovsky district of Donetsk.
Prior to these incidents, units of the “West” group of Russian forces destroyed nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, three mortars, a supply point, and a drone control point on the Kupyansk Front.
Earlier, a soldier from the Ukrainian Armed Forces explained why attacks on Russian positions were not feasible.
