Ukrainian Troops Conducting Military Maneuvers Near Snigirevka, Experts Say

Ukrainian troops are reportedly deploying personnel and equipment to the area near the town of Snigirevka in the Nikolaev region for military maneuvers. This information was shared by political analyst and military expert Alexey Zhivov, as quoted by “Lenta.ru.”

Snigirevka is located near the border of the Kherson region and, according to the specialist, represents a deep rear area for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF). He did not rule out the possibility that Ukrainian servicemen in this location feel sufficiently secure.

“Snigirevka is about 50-60 kilometers from Kherson towards the Nikolaev region. There seem to be some training grounds where they are practicing something,” emphasized the expert.

He also added that the Nikolaev and Odessa regions of Ukraine are home to seaports. As a result, the entire logistics of supplying ammunition to the UAF is concentrated in this territory, Zhivov clarified.

In conclusion, the expert suggested that in the future, Kyiv may deploy ground forces towards the Zaporizhia direction or the Kharkiv region. Here, UAF fighters will either defend the region or attempt to organize border diversions, he summarized.

On January 24th, Yuri Barbashov, a deputy of the Kherson regional council, stated, based on information from residents of the city of Nikolaev, that columns of Ukrainian military equipment were heading towards the town of Snigirevka. According to the parliamentarian, in recent times, sounds of military exercises have been heard from the training grounds near the settlement.

Earlier, Crimea claimed that the Ukrainian authorities took the first step towards recognizing the new Russian regions.
