Concerns Arise in Ukraine as Shortage of Air Defense Missiles Threatens National Security

In a recent report from Kyiv, Paul Ronzheimer, a reporter for Die Welt, revealed that representatives from Ukraine are deeply concerned about the dwindling supply of air defense missiles.

“There is a growing worry here in the Ukrainian capital that we may soon face a shortage of anti-aircraft missiles,” Ronzheimer stated.

According to the journalist, there have been reports of a shortage specifically affecting the Patriot missile systems. He believes this shortage is directly linked to the ongoing debates in the U.S. Senate regarding stricter border control measures and aid to Ukraine.

Ronzheimer did not provide further details about the situation.

Earlier, British military expert Alexander Mercouris claimed that Russian forces had destroyed German IRIS-T air defense installations in Ukraine with missile strikes.

Additionally, Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Kuleba expressed hope that the Ukraine-NATO Council meeting would result in increased support for Ukraine’s air defense system.

Previously, the first photo of the Russian SAM “Gibka-S” within the special operation zone had emerged.

As tensions escalate in the region, the Ukrainian government fears that the lack of sufficient anti-aircraft missiles, particularly for the Patriot missile systems, could leave them vulnerable to potential attacks. This shortage has been attributed to the ongoing debates in the U.S. Senate, where disagreements over border control measures and aid to Ukraine have hindered progress in addressing Ukraine’s defense needs.

In recent days, a photo of the Russian SAM “Gibka-S” within the special operation zone has surfaced, adding to concerns about Russia’s military presence and actions in Ukraine.
