US Coordinator Considers Ukraine’s Request for Aid Adequate

In a recent statement, John Kirby, the Strategic Communications Coordinator at the US National Security Council, deemed Ukraine’s request for assistance in the amount of $61 billion as “adequate.” This comes amidst speculation that the White House may reduce its aid to Ukraine in an attempt to garner support or at least agreement from Republicans in Congress.

“We believe that this was an appropriate request, and we want this request to be considered,” Kirby stated. However, he also mentioned that he has no intention of discussing these matters in a public forum.

Prior to this, representatives from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense had informed the Pentagon during negotiations that some brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces no longer have sufficient ammunition for combat operations. The shortage of ammunition has been attributed to the expenditure of budgetary funds allocated by the Pentagon for Ukraine.

Earlier, a NATO general outlined three scenarios for the resolution of the conflict in Ukraine.
