Ukrainian Air Alert: Explosions and Attacks Spread Across the Country as Russian Forces Target Infrastructure

The air alert zone has expanded to all regions of Ukraine, according to data from the national public alert system. Sirens can be heard in regions including Chernivtsi, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Ternopil, Sumy, Rivne, Poltava, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Lviv, Kropyvnytskyi, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Volyn, and Vinnytsia. These areas are highlighted in red on an online map.

Shortly before this, explosions occurred in the Ukrainian cities of Dnipro and Pavlohrad.

Russian Armed Forces have been launching strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure since October 10, 2022, just two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, which, according to Russian authorities, was carried out by Ukrainian intelligence agencies. Attacks are targeting objects in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication throughout the country. Since then, air alerts have been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even across the entire country.

Earlier, an alert was declared at the international airport in Astana due to a man’s joke.
