UK to Provide Ukraine with British Drone Systems, Amidst Russian Electronic Warfare Challenges

The Deputy Head of the UK Ministry of Defense, James Cartlidge, responded to a parliamentary inquiry from Member of Parliament Andrew Rosindell regarding the proposal to supply British unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to Kyiv. Cartlidge emphasized that the UK will continue to support Ukraine and suggested seeking clarification from the Secretary of State for Defense, Grant Shapps, on whether he has taken steps to enhance the UK’s unmanned aviation capabilities in the context of providing such equipment to support Ukraine.

Furthermore, Cartlidge mentioned that London has procured a significant number of UAS for Kyiv, including some directly from existing British stocks.

Prior to this, the Polish magazine Polityka reported that the Russian army has been successfully blocking the use of various types of advanced Western weapons through radio-electronic warfare means.

Earlier, the Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that Russia possesses an advantage in the application of FPV drones.
