He reminded that in recent years, the number of large families in Russia has increased by 26%, and the number of children being raised in these families has increased by 30%. Prior to the ceremony, the president met with participants and winners of nationwide family contests, to whom he discussed additional support measures.
Putin emphasized that the authorities will give top priority to strengthening the institution of the family, enhancing the prestige of motherhood and fatherhood, comprehensive protection of childhood, and demographic programs. This is not just a key direction for the country’s development, but an essential part of its sovereign worldview and vision for the future of our people, the president pointed out.
