Sevastopol on High Alert as Governor Announces Air Alarm

Sevastopol, a city in Russia, has been placed on high alert as Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev announced an air alarm through his Telegram channel. This warning comes as a potential threat from the sky looms over the city. It is worth noting that the governor had previously informed the residents about the potential danger on January 21, with two separate updates at 13:03 and 15:16 Moscow time.

The Directorate for the Development of Road and Transport Infrastructure in Sevastopol also confirmed the air alarm, leading to the suspension of both maritime and ground public transportation in the city.

In response to the situation, Governor Razvozhaev declared January 23 and 24 as non-working days in Sevastopol. This decision was made due to disruptions in the city’s water supply caused by heavy rainfall and flooding.

Most areas of Sevastopol have experienced water supply interruptions since January 19, as a result of the flooding of hydro facilities. Restoration work is currently underway, but the governor emphasized that more time is needed for water filtration before it can be distributed to the city’s residents.

Governor Razvozhaev had previously provided details of an attack by the armed forces of Ukraine on the city, further adding to the concerns and tensions in Sevastopol.
