Russian military forces have successfully eliminated a group of Ukrainian infantry soldiers in covert positions along the Kupyansk direction. This information was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, as reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the ministry, the mission was carried out by the crew of the BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle. This unit belongs to the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Western Group of Forces and is specified in the statement.
It is noted that Russian Armed Forces reconnaissance detected the disguised positions and concentration of Ukrainian troops using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). They identified the soldiers and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the forest strip, after which they relayed the coordinates to the BMP-3 crew.
“The BMP-3 crew…destroyed the disguised positions and live force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of the special military operation along the Kupyansk direction,” emphasized the ministry.
Representatives of the ministry added that the destruction of Ukrainian units was monitored by UAV teams. Drone operators transmitted real-time data on the battlefield situation to the command post.
Earlier, Russian guards shot down a Ukrainian “Baba-Yaga” type drone near the city of Severodonetsk.
