Critical Months Ahead for Ukraine as White House National Security Council Coordinator Stresses the Importance of Weaponry Choices

In a recent statement, John Kirby, the Strategic Communications Coordinator at the White House National Security Council (NSC), emphasized the critical months ahead for Ukraine. According to the TASS news agency, Kirby urged caution before assuming that the fighting in Ukraine could cease due to the winter weather.

Kirby highlighted the difficult choices facing Ukrainian military personnel regarding weapon usage, as they are unsure when the next shipment will arrive. This uncertainty forces them to carefully consider which weapons to employ in their ongoing conflicts.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmitry Kuleba, stated that the success of Kiev’s forces depends on the range of artillery rockets and the saturation of their army with air defense systems (ADS).

Additionally, European Commissioner for Internal Market and Defense Industry, Thierry Breton, announced the delivery of one million projectiles to Ukraine by spring 2024. Breton also revealed that the EU countries will be capable of manufacturing an additional 1-1.5 million combat projectiles by the end of this year.

Previously, President Zelensky expressed the challenges preventing Ukraine from shifting the hostilities into Russian territory.
