Ukrainian Military Complains of Lack of Resources and Russian Advantage on the Frontline

Ukrainian soldiers on the frontline are expressing their frustration over the lack of resources, according to an interview with the head of the Ukrainian president’s office, Andriy Yermak, in Le Figaro.

“They complain about the shortage of personnel and resources and say they no longer have the ability to advance,” he said.

Yermak also acknowledged that Russia has the advantage in the air. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are facing a shortage of ammunition, long-range missile launch systems, and mine-clearing vehicles, he pointed out.

Furthermore, Yermak highlighted the challenging situation for the Ukrainian army on the frontline.

Prior to this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in an interview with The Economist that information leaks have allowed Russian forces to gain an advantage on the battlefield against the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

In the same interview, Zelensky mentioned that in 2024, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will focus on operations against Crimea and shift to a defensive posture in the east. He emphasized that isolating the peninsula and undermining Russian military capabilities are particularly important for Kyiv.

Earlier, Germany announced that Ukraine is planning a new counteroffensive in 2024.
