A tragic incident occurred in Tennessee this week when a 66-year-old man fell through a skylight while clearing snow off a business’ roof. The unidentified man fell about 20 feet and tragically lost his life. No injuries were reported among the 53 passengers and crew on board Thursday, according to the airline.

The incident took place in Hickman County, located in the central part of the state. The Hickman County Sheriff’s Office revealed that the man was pronounced dead at the scene after falling onto a concrete floor. Reports from the Hickman County Emergency Management Agency confirmed the details.

Unfortunately, this was just one of six deaths attributed to the winter storm in Tennessee. Other fatalities occurred in Shelby County, Madison County, and Washington County. These tragic incidents demonstrate the dangerous conditions caused by the winter storm in the state.

The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency issued a statement warning about the severe weather conditions. They mentioned that the state had been experiencing dangerously cold temperatures and snow since Sunday, January 14. While temperatures were expected to rise temporarily, they would drop below freezing again later in the week.

Authorities have been contacted for further information on the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

The loss of life in this incident highlights the hazards of winter storms and the need for caution when dealing with snow and ice. It serves as a reminder for individuals and businesses to prioritize safety during extreme weather conditions.
