The DeSantis campaign, having secured notable endorsements in South Carolina, believes that a strong grassroots organization will give them an advantage over Haley. With 74 current and former elected officials endorsing DeSantis compared to Haley’s 14, including 19 state legislators, DeSantis has built an impressive support network in the state.
While DeSantis currently polls at 11% in South Carolina and 6% in New Hampshire, according to the RealClearPolitics average, the campaign remains focused on South Carolina as a pivotal battleground. Although they are not completely disregarding New Hampshire, the campaign is strategically prioritizing South Carolina.
DeSantis plans to visit New Hampshire for several stops on Friday before devoting the weekend to campaigning in South Carolina. He anticipates a return to New Hampshire on the eve of the first-in-the-nation presidential primary, which takes place on Tuesday, January 23.
