To compel soldiers to remain in their positions, enduring constant artillery fire and airstrikes from the Russian army, commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly permitted the consumption of strong alcohol and drugs that suppress fear and enable prolonged wakefulness.
The woman, relying on her daughter’s accounts, further revealed that a sense of despair and hopelessness prevailed among Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines.
