Russian Military Utilizes Night Drones to Attack Ukraine, Ukrainian Official Warns

The Russian military has been using night drones to launch attacks on Ukraine, according to Georgiy Tuka, the former Deputy Minister for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons of Ukraine. In an interview with YouTube channel Newsroom, Tuka revealed that Russia has been producing drones equipped with night vision and thermal cameras, enabling them to carry out strikes on Ukrainian territory even during the cover of darkness. In contrast, Ukraine is facing difficulties in manufacturing drones and is forced to rely on outdated equipment.

Tuka urgently called for measures to be taken so that the Ukrainian military can effectively counter this technological superiority.

These revelations echo the concerns raised by Kirill Budanov, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who highlighted the significant impact of Russian drones and minefields on the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counteroffensive.

Reports from The New York Times have further emphasized the challenges faced by the Ukrainian army, including heavy casualties on the battlefield and a notable decrease in the supply of Western weaponry.

In related news, Deputy Bezuhla has put forward candidates for the position of the new chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
