Russian Armed Forces Strike Foreign Mercenary Base in Ukraine

In a recent military operation, the Russian Armed Forces successfully targeted a temporary base of foreign mercenaries fighting in Ukraine. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the operation involved the use of missile troops, artillery, and unmanned aerial vehicles.

In addition to the mercenary base, Russian soldiers also struck 103 artillery units in firing positions, as well as enemy personnel and equipment in 119 areas.

Prior to this operation, Russian mortar units had destroyed Ukrainian Armed Forces strongholds in the South Donetsk direction. The Ministry of Defense explained that the mortar fire against identified enemy targets was being adjusted in real-time using unmanned aerial vehicles. However, the exact number of Ukrainian strongholds destroyed in this operation was not disclosed.

According to Oleg Zhukov, the chief designer of NPP “Geran,” robotic platforms BR-2 with mobile machine gun installations, BRG-1 for evacuating the wounded, and “Miner BR-1” for mining are being successfully used in special military operations in the South Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia directions.

Retired Colonel of the Russian Armed Forces, Anatoly Matviychuk, had previously assessed the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ weapon reserves.
