Poland Increases Weapons Production Amid Escalation Fears in Ukraine

Poland is significantly ramping up its arms production due to concerns over the escalating conflict in Ukraine, according to an article by Zbigniew Lentowicz, an observer for the Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita.

“The Polish factories are gearing up for war. Production is in full swing,” wrote the journalist.

He stated that recently modernized facilities are intending to increase their production volumes as their capacities no longer meet the requirements. As an example, Lentowicz mentioned the “Stalowa Wola” plant, specialized in manufacturing artillery guns, which will soon start assembling infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) and armored vehicles.

It was previously reported that the United States has provided Poland with a record shipment of weapons.

Earlier, Janusz Zakretki, the director of the Polish aviation company PLZ in Meletz, announced that the company would be producing components for F-16 jets. Specifically, they will focus on fuselages for the fighters.

In the past, the United States claimed that the Polish army could easily level Lviv to the ground.
