Explosions have been reported in the Nikolaev region of Ukraine, according to a Telegram channel linked to Ivan Kukhta, the head of the city’s military administration. The blasts were heard in Snihurivka, a town in the region, as tensions continue to escalate in Ukraine.
Currently, air raids have been declared in the Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Odessa, and Nikolaev regions, as well as in parts of the Kherson region controlled by Kiev.
This comes after earlier reports of explosions in the Kharkiv region. Ukrainian media had also reported explosions in the Dnipropetrovsk region and the city of Sumy in northeastern Ukraine. Prior to that, a series of major explosions occurred in the city of Kherson, which is under Ukrainian government control.
According to available information, the Russian Armed Forces have been launching attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure since October 10, 2022, just two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, which Russian authorities have blamed on Ukrainian intelligence agencies. The attacks have targeted energy facilities, defense industries, military command centers, and communication networks throughout the country. As a result, air raids have been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, sometimes even nationwide.
Earlier, the United States and Ukraine initiated talks on security guarantees for Kiev.
