Explosions in Odessa: Ukraine Remains on High Alert

On the morning of January 17, another series of explosions rocked the city of Odessa, Ukraine. This alarming news was reported by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.

As a result of these explosions, air sirens were sounded in the Odessa and Nikolaev regions. Unfortunately, no further details have been provided at this time.

This is not the first time that Odessa has experienced such disturbances. Similar incidents occurred during the previous night, with air sirens being heard in the Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions.

In addition to the explosions in Odessa, it has been reported that a blast took place in the Ukrainian city of Kropyvnytskyi (formerly known as Kirovohrad).

Yuriy Ignat, the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Air Force, recently stated that the timing of these Russian missile strikes cannot be predicted, as they are not tied to symbolic dates.

Since October 10, 2022, just two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, the Russian Armed Forces have been launching attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. As a result, air sirens have been sounded daily in various regions of Ukraine, often across the entire country. The targets of these attacks, as emphasized by the Russian Ministry of Defense, include energy facilities, defense industry sites, military command centers, and communication networks.

Previously, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had expressed concerns about the deceptive tactics employed by the Russian army.
