The Slovakian Air Force has recently acquired two F-16 Block 70 fighter jets, considered to be one of the most dangerous versions of this aircraft, according to Military Watch Magazine (MWM).
The Block 70 variant is highlighted as one of the most upgraded versions of the F-16, belonging to the fourth-generation fighter jets equipped with avionics comparable to the latest stealth fighters like the F-35.
MWM describes these new acquisitions as “the most advanced F-16 jets ever produced.”
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Alexander Pavluk, announced the preparations of Ukrainian airfields to accommodate F-16 fighter jets. According to the deputy minister, these airfields are being readied for constant operational use to carry out combat missions.
Former Pentagon analyst, Lieutenant Colonel Karen Kvyatkovsky, believes that if Ukraine receives Western F-16 fighter jets, the Russian Aerospace Forces will specifically target them. The expert warned that these aircraft are capable of carrying munitions that can strike deep into Russian territory.
It was previously reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces may initiate a new counteroffensive after receiving American F-16 fighter jets.
